A brand new laid-back evening space and neighbourhood eatery serving simple but beautiful food and great drinks at Sawmill Court in the heart of Ancoats. Opening Autumn 2018.

Four people, passionate about food and drink have created Erst; a laid-back evening space, a neighbourhood eatery, a place to socialise, drink some wine, have a beer on tap, and eat simple yet beautiful food.

Erst will be relaxed and informal, offering a place for a drink or two and a bite to eat. The contemporary and calm interior will be simple yet elegant. The service, food, and drinks will be of the same standard that has made Trove an award-winning destination.

The focus of Erst will be on the joy of simple cooking. The team will be creating seasonally inspired dishes, working closely with suppliers to source UK produce while also drawing on flavours, techniques acquired on the team’s travels. Accompanying the food will be the team’s love of natural wines, simple cocktails, and craft beers.

Like everything the team has achieved at Trove, the food will be cooked from scratch alongside house-made sourdough, pickles, and ferments.

Erst will be located alongside Trove’s second venue at Manchester Life’s Sawmill Court residential development on Murray Street in Ancoats, directly opposite Halle St Peters. Manchester Life is now letting One, Two & Three bedroom apartments in Sawmill Court with the first residents will be moving in from 18th June.
