THE MANCHESTER LIFE APPRENTICESHIP SCHEME

Manchester Life Is Committed To Helping Develop Talented Young Individuals Who Will Go On To Drive Manchester’s Future Growth.

In 2015, Manchester Life launched its Advanced Apprenticeship scheme in partnership with The Manchester College to encourage more local young people into careers in construction and development.

Each apprentice is employed by one of the Manchester Life partner companies for two years, with an annual salary, local travel costs covered, and placements across six partner companies, providing the apprentices with a broad base of skills to kick-start their careers.

Placements include Manchester Life development team, architect, engineer, project manager, building contractor, quantity surveyor and within the local authority planning department.

Apprentices also study with The Manchester College for a Level 4 HNC in Construction and work towards a Level 4 NVQ in Construction and the Built Environment.

At the end of two years, the apprentices can continue with a general qualification to a Level 5 Higher National Diploma or transfer to a specialist degree. Apprenticeships will count as the first year of a degree course.

“Our Manchester Life Higher Apprenticeship team is a powerful collaboration between Manchester Life, the Manchester College and our consultants and contractors. Our apprentices are gaining real world experience with companies behind some of the most prominent real estate developments globally”

– Marty Edelman, Executive Chairman, Manchester Life Development Company
