Jack Rushmere

February 24, 2017

Jack RushmereAs one of thirteen new Manchester Life Construction Management Apprentices it’s a huge opportunity to become a leading young professional in a world of an ever-advancing industry. As I come from Manchester it is great to be part of something that will change the way people look at our city, and know that I was part of it.

The programme itself is a great opportunity for anyone who has an interest in Construction and the Built Environment, as the skills and knowledge I will gain will stand me in good stead for the rest of my career. During my 2 years, I will be working with the likes of Project Managers, Structural Engineers, Architects, Contractors and Surveyors.

I’m going to apply my new knowledge and experience I have acquired to gain my HNC Level 4 in Construction and the Built Environment, and alongside that I will be collecting evidence and building an online portfolio to gain my NQV Level 4.

I am currently on my first placement with Mace which are PM’s on the Manchester Life Projects. I am only two months in to my 4-month placement with Mace and every day brings new challenges which are providing me with the essential experience and knowledge on how to manage tasks efficiently and get things done.

I’m ready to make an impact on every placement I go to, and learn as much as possible.
