Brendan Todd

February 24, 2017

Brendan ToddI have always had a keen interest in architecture and my most recent placement has been with CallisonRTKL, the architects who designed Manchester Life’s Cotton Field Wharf, and have several other PRS projects across the city.

It has been an eye-opening experience to work within architecture and witness how a building is formed first from lines on paper to concrete in the ground. I am over a year in now and my apprenticeship has given me incredible amounts of experience already.

So far at CallisonRTKL, I have furthered my work on development pipeline research in Manchester and created a 3D model of ‘Manchester in 2025’. I have also been using Revit to model an existing building and look at the feasibility of a change of use.

It is thrilling to see Manchester Life’s projects come out of the ground and witness the positive change these developments will have on the area.
